Around the world, festivals, social events, conferences and community events are being cancelled or postponed due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. Event organizers have had to make difficult decisions about how to proceed, and would-be attendees' question whether they should plan to go.
With new recommendations emerging daily, both large and small-scale events have been affected, including our own lineup which includes; Taste of Rhode Island, Empower Women’s Expo, Rhode Island Health and Wellness Fair, Rhode Island Christmas Village and our monthly Networking Events.
Positive cases are on the rise again, especially in Rhode Island, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended all gatherings and events of 50 people or more be postponed at this time. We are disappointed that we must POSTPONE our events until at least summer 2021. At this time we are NOT CANCELLING any events however, the health and welfare of not only our attendees, but our exhibitors and staff are of the utmost importance to us.
Events play an important role in community life and research has repeatedly shown that attending festivals and community events has many benefits to both guests and the local business community. This pandemic, like others, will eventually taper off. When that happens, festivals and events will be an important part of recovery.
We remain excited to return; In the meantime, exhibitor deposits will be held and transferred to new dates once they have been determined. If you are a business and would like to be considered for exhibit space once we return, please forward us via email your Name, Business Name, Email Address and Phone Number along with the name of the event you are interested in. We will keep your information on file and update you once events are scheduled. If you are an attendee and would like to be added to our Event Announcement email list, kindly forward your Name and Email along with the words "Event Announcement Email" and we will happily send you information once we have events confirmed.
As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in 2021!
